The greatest attraction of the town of Cashel is the magnificent Rock of Cashel which rises dramatically above the town. The Rock dominates the town and the surrounding plains and is one of Ireland’s great historic sites. The main features of the Rock are the 12th century round tower, Cormac’s Chapel and the Cathedral of St Patrick.
